For Bart Newman, the principles of success on the gridiron —meticulous preparation, unwavering discipline and precise execution — are the same principles required for a successful retirement. As the founder of Northview Wealth Management, Bart brings the mindset of a dedicated athlete to the world of financial planning, acting as a head coach for his clients’ financial futures. 

Just as a team adjusts its strategy for every opponent, Bart believes every client deserves a customized playbook. He specializes in retirement income planning, helping individuals transition from the “accumulation phase” of their careers to the “distribution phase” of retirement. His goal is to ensure clients have a defensive strategy to protect their hard-earned savings while maintaining the offensive growth needed to outpace inflation. 

Bart’s strategic acumen is backed by a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Yale, where he played football and earned First Team All-Ivy League honors in 1992. Before becoming an independent financial advisor in 2004, he honed his analytical skills as a commercial banking analyst and a derivatives trader, managing risk in high-stakes environments.  

He holds life, health and annuity insurance licenses and has passed the Series 65 securities exam. Being an independent advisor allows him the freedom to scout the entire market for the best financial tools, rather than being tied to specific proprietary products. 

Bart has served as a high school football official and also works as a professional indoor football official, staying connected to the sport that shaped his character. Bart is an avid runner who has completed two ultramarathons (50K) and over 10 marathons, including multiple Chicago Marathons. 

Bart is a devoted family man and a man of deep faith. A lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area, he lives in Vernon Hills with his wife, Stacey. They are proud parents of two grown sons, Mitch and Brandon. A revert to the Catholic faith, Bart serves on the board of his parish and starts every morning with prayer, grounding his professional drive in personal gratitude.
